When I read the news this week, I ended up falling in love. An article mentioned an animal called the “pangolin”. I wondered, is that a typo? Pangolin? And I found a photo of a pangolin. And my world began to tilt. I found myself eye gazing with this amazing being and ...
I fell. HARD.
Heart rate quickened, starry eyes, cupid’s arrow - the whole deal.

Pangolin, where have you been all of my life?!

They are special. They’re amazing. They’re so weird.
They are mammals and they have scales.
They eat ants and termites, and have tongues as long as their bodies.
They kinda look like an artichoke with legs. One writer describes them as, “a possum mixed with a pinecone”.

Pangolins are (objectively) adorable - but if you’re not feeling the love yet, take a look at the photo above and then read on …

Pangolins are the MOST endearing animals.

  • They curl up in a ball when they’re scared.

  • They waddle. Pretty slowly. They fall down when they try to run.

  • They are really super sensitive - they don’t do well in captivity because they’re prone to depression.

  • They are very intelligent. They are also pretty shy, solitary beings.

  • They love their babies. Usually they have one pup at a time and carry them around on their tails all day and curl up around them at night.

Other things I love about pangolins: they are clumsy, cuddly, and they smell bad when they’re nervous.

Pangolins are relatable as hell.

Pangolins are endangered because of heavy poaching (which makes me lose my mind). They’re really vulnerable - as a species... and as individuals. Just like us, right? Exactly like us.

... Metta prayer ...

May all pangolins be safe.

May all pangolins be happy.

May all pangolins be peaceful and at ease.

May all pangolins be free of harm.

May all pangolins be loved.

May all pangolins be protected.

May all pangolins be blessed.

I’m raising funds for pangolins!!

These animals put me in my heart in a big way. Through February, I will be donating half of my fees from energy healings and divinations to organizations that work on behalf of the pangolins. If you’d like to book a healing AND want to do good for pangolins, please send me an email via my contact form.

We are all connected. We need each other - all of us on this precious planet, in it together. Give love to yourself, give love to the pangolins.

~ let it be a healing ~
